I do all my shopping in November. Malls are absurd in December...
I remember I wanted to return an item in mid-december... so I headed out to the mall... it was the middle of the day, weekday - didn't think it would be that bad... The parking lot was full, and it took me 30 minutes to get out of the lot before I turned around and went home.

Order as much of it as you can over the internet, then pick up a few other bits and pieces from the local shops or mall, that's what I do. No stress and and you're not just buying stuff because you only have three hours to get presents for everyone, and you're not taking more time off for bloody shopping.
Here's how I figure out what to get people; I get my dad a bottle of expensive whiskey, I ask my dad what he thinks my mum would like then get her something else, I ask my mum what my sister would like, I ask my brother what he would like and I get my nephew something I want to play with. I just try to make sure it's something they will actually either drink, eat, watch, read, wear, play or listen to.

We've finished ours!
Kids are all bought for and wrapped.
I've got a few things still to get for Debbie but other than that we're good to go.
Christmas could be on sunday and we'd be fine. Thank god Debbie is well organised cos i used to "love" rushing round the stores on Christmas eve lol
